Overview
Agribusinesses and Agricultural Cooperatives
BS&K has a long history of serving the agricultural market - both agribusinesses and farm family businesses. In fact, shortly after the firm's inception in 1897, BS&K helped found, and has continuously represented, one of the Northeast's oldest cooperatives. Our efforts to serve and support the farm community and agricultural economy of Upstate New York continue to this day.
From these decades of experience with agribusinesses and agricultural cooperatives, we appreciate their unique aspects and we adapt our approach to the specific needs of each situation. Ultimately, however, we always strive to unravel complexity to arrive at practical solutions that make good dollars and cents. With roots in the Upstate New York farm community, the firm understands clients who strive to receive the best value for their dollars.
BS&K prides itself on developing and maintaining long-term relationships - many of which span generations. We have maintained these relationships by knowing our clients, learning their business needs and working with them to arrive at practical solutions.
We recognize that agribusinesses and cooperatives have relationships with other professionals, and we can work as part of a team to apply specific expertise to assist and compliment existing counsel when called upon. Our attorneys offer comprehensive counsel or on-demand, subject-specific experience as required by the situation.
Farmers and Farm Families
We are your neighbors. One cannot live and work in Upstate New York without developing an understanding and appreciation of the values, sentiments and perspectives within the farm community.
We recognize and respect the other relationships that our clients have with local bankers, insurance brokers, financial consultants, accountants and other attorneys. In those cases, we work as part of the team, offering specialized counsel as conditions warrant. However, whatever the situation, we deliver straightforward and personal service.
