    Dr. Bettinger is a Registered Patent Attorney. His practice includes the drafting and prosecution of patent and trademark applications, as well as issues of copyright protection, licensing of intellectual property and litigation related to patent, trademark and copyright infringement.

    Before joining Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC, Dr. Bettinger obtained a Ph.D. from SUNY Upstate Medical University where his research included the fields of biochemistry, genetics, cell biology and molecular biology. He served as a Research Assistant to Syracuse University Angela S. Cooney Professor of Law Lisa A. Dolak with whom he co-authored two articles relating to the portrayal of the United States Patent System in the media. Dr. Bettinger also conducts research in the field of personal genomics.
