 BS&K's Higher Education Practice Group is comprised of attorneys who provide a full range of services to our more than three dozen regular higher education clients, in addition to the many additional institutions we represent in NCAA compliance matters through our Collegiate Sports Practice Group. Our services routinely cover academic, business and student affairs issues; financing and construction matters; NCAA issues; commercial real estate and environmental matters; labor and employment, employee benefits and immigration matters; as well as charitable giving and development issues.
Our attorneys are active members of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), having served both as President and in other leadership roles within that group. Our attorneys also have served as adjunct faculty members and interim administrators (including President and Dean) at several institutions, giving us a unique perspective on institutional needs. Our participation on the editorial board of the Journal of College and University Law, as speakers before NACUA, NACUBO (National Association of College and University Business Officers), and CUPA (College and University Professional Association - Human Resources), and our authorship of articles on a variety of subjects of special interest to colleges and universities ensures that we are always familiar with the cutting-edge issues confronting higher education in the 21st century.
