Administrative Assistant

Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, a law firm of 300 attorneys in more than 30 practice and industry groups, is accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant to support the intellectual property group in the Buffalo office. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle a large volume of work, be detail oriented, and be able to prioritize daily tasks and responsibilities. Also, a background in intellectual property practice with experience with intellectual property management software tools and databases is preferred.
Position Responsibilities:
- Providing general administrative support to several attorneys in the intellectual property group, including
- preparing and proofing correspondence
- drafting and revising various patent and trademark-related forms
- communicating with USPTO
- conducting basic research
- maintaining and organizing legal documents, files, and records
- managing the overall day-to-day team operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow, and supporting the intellectual property attorneys in various administrative tasks, as assigned
Requirements
- In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional organization skills with proven record of managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal environment, or a bachelor’s degree and other relevant work experience

This position's salary range is between $50,000 to $60,000, negotiable based on years’ experience.
