Applications Engineer

Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, a law firm of 300 attorneys in over 30 practice groups, is accepting applications for a full-time Applications Engineer to support our Information Technology Department. This is a hybrid opportunity that can be based out of the following office locations: Buffalo, NY, Albany, NY, Syracuse, NY, White Plains, NY, or Long Island, NY
Position Responsibilities
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the Firm’s off-the-shelf applications, providing advanced application support and coordinating assistance with software vendors for troubleshooting problems and resolving issues.
- Evaluate the current state of applications, identify aspects which could be improved and recommend changes
- Create test plans for applications and coordinate plan execution and issue resolution for major system upgrades.
- Maintain the lifecycle of all off-the-shelf software used at the firm including, but not limited to:
- Maintain licensing and configuration documentation for all applications and vendors
- Schedule and perform regular updates on all existing applications as recommended or required by the software vendors
- Must be able to work as a team to discuss and implement improvements
- Occasional after-hours work may be required for major application upgrades or installations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
- 8+ years’ related IT experience
- Proven ability to diagnose and solve problems within applications, by working with third party vendors or using appropriate tools and techniques
- Must have experience with Exchange Online and Hybrid Azure Active Directory environments
- Experience with Intune, Purview, Group Policy Objects and software deployment tools a plus
- Exceptional troubleshooting and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and be responsive to requests
- Strictly adhere to the firm’s change management and other operational policies
- The ability to dynamically adjust the transfer of knowledge to co-workers as well as end-users in terms to which they understand

This position's salary range is between $85,000 to $95,000, negotiable based on years’ experience.
