Applications Engineer

Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, a law firm of 300 attorneys in over 30 practice groups, is accepting applications for a full-time Applications Engineer to support our Information Technology Department. As an Applications Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, leveraging automation and implementing cutting-edge solutions that drive our business forward. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Position Responsibilities
- Alongside the applications team, provide advanced application support
- Deploying and managing patches for operating systems and applications to address vulnerabilities and improve performance
- Monitoring patch compliance to ensure systems remain up-to-date and meet security standards
- Documenting patch management activities and generating reports on system compliance
- Evaluate the current state of applications, identify aspects which could be improved and recommend changes
- Design and develop innovative and efficient ways to keep our applications current and patched to meet our business needs
- Collaborate with the IT team and stakeholders to gather and analyze application updating requirements
- Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies with focus on application deployment and patching
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Directly related IT experience including large-scale application patching, deployment, and relevant technologies
- Hands-on experience with patch management tools such as PDQ, SCCM, or ManageEngine is preferred
- Strong background in PowerShell, Exchange Online, Hybrid Azure Active Directory environments, and Group Policy Objects is preferred
- Experience with API development and integration is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with a proactive, innovative mindset
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and be responsive to requests
- When reviewing work, ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively to prevent disruptions to end-user workflow
- Adherence to the firm’s change management and other operational policies

This position's salary range is between $85,000 to $95,000, negotiable based on years’ experience.
