Commercial Real Estate Paralegal - Rochester

Bond, Schoeneck & King, a full-service law firm of 250+ attorneys, is accepting applications for an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal in our Rochester, New York office. 

Job Responsibilities: Will include reviewing Letters of Intent and Term Sheets for Purchase and Sale Agreements; reviewing Purchase and Sale Agreements and preparing closing checklists; collect and review due diligence materials; preparing closing documents and settlement statements; reviewing leases; preparing lease amendments and lease abstracts; reviewing loan commitments and preparing loan documents for commercial real estate loans; reviewing title evidence, surveys, zoning and compliance issues; conducting entity searches at Department of State; conducting on-line research to verify property information; and interact extensively with clients and all parties involved in sale, purchase, leasing or lending transaction.

Position Requirements: Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience. Qualified candidates must also have a minimum of 2 years of commercial real estate and related experience, including a background in real estate transactions, leasing and development, with a law firm or in-house legal department. In addition, qualified candidates must also demonstrate the following skills: be an independent, proactive, organized and diligent worker and able to work with minimal direction; ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities; multi-task and handle voluminous workflow, work under tight deadlines, balance multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately; provide general support to firm's commercial real estate department; demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and possess excellent writing and verbal skills.
