Employee Benefits Attorney

Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC, a full-service law firm of more than 300 attorneys with 15 offices that are located across New York State, as well as in Boston, Kansas City, FL and NJ, is seeking an Employee Benefits Attorney with at least five years of experience to join the firm’s sophisticated Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice.
Location(s): Buffalo, Albany, Rochester, Syracuse, White Plains, New York City, Melville, NY.
We are open to discussing a remote work arrangement for uniquely qualified and experienced candidates.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with Taft-Hartley collectively bargained multiemployer pension plans, with a focus on advising clients regarding withdrawal liability matters.
- Experience in counseling clients with regard to withdrawal liability risks in connection with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
- Must have graduated from an accredited law school and currently hold an active bar license to practice law.
The successful candidate will have experience managing withdrawal liability matters with limited supervision. The position offers the opportunity to join one of the leading national practices specializing in multiemployer plan issues.

The salary range for this role at the Associate level is $110,000 - $190,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The salary range for this role at the Senior Counsel level is $160,000 - $275,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Where a successful applicant is slotted will vary based on legitimate criteria, such as experience, portables, office location, and skill level.
