Legal Paralegal/Administrative Assistant

Date: July 1, 2026

Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, a law firm of 300 attorneys in over 30 practice groups, is accepting applications for a full-time Paralegal/Administrative Assistant to support our labor department in our New York, New York office.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and highly professional, with the ability to manage a high volume of work while effectively multitasking, prioritizing, and organizing assignments from multiple attorneys.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in aspects of employment litigation.
  • Review and electronically file pleadings, motion papers, and other litigation documents.
  • Assist in document and discovery management.
  • Conduct necessary investigative and research work.
  • Interact with clients and attorneys via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Monitor court dockets and calendar dates, as well as manage attorney calendars.
  • Adhere to deadlines and follow up to ensure work is processed by the deadlines.
  • Manage and organize documents.
  • Manage file processing from open to close. Prepare and electronically file notices of appearance and requests for extensions.
  • Assist in hearing preparation, including compilation of exhibits for hearing.
  • Filing, scanning and other administrative tasks as assigned.
     

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Court Alert is a plus, or any other docketing system
  • Notary Public certification preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments in an accurate and timely manner
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Firm needs
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Strong typing and transcription experience
  • A background in a Law Firm and/or Labor and Employment Law is required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative position
  • An associate or bachelor's degree preferred
