Litigation Administrative Assistant

Date: May 16, 2022

Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC, a full-service law firm of 275 attorneys with 15 offices that are located across New York State, as well as in Boston, Kansas City, FL and NJ, is seeking full-time Litigation Administrative Assistant to support our Litigation Department in our Rochester, NY office location. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle a large volume of work, be detailed oriented, and be able to prioritize daily tasks and responsibilities. 

Position Responsibilities

  • Compose, type, distribute and file communications, records and legal documents and/or instructions utilizing the firm’s resources in the most efficient manner
  • Transcribe letters and documents through digital transcription
  • Proofread, spell check, standardize and edit all work completed while maintaining attention to detail
  • Independently prepare reoccurring reports and correspondence
  • Assist other team members when workload permits
  • Perform basic functions regarding the telephone system, including answering, taking messages, screening and transferring calls
  • Open and close files
  • Timely file all correspondence and other documents as required to maintain up-to-date records of client matters
  • Maintain calendars and assure that complete information is available for all matters
  • Docket deadlines

Position Skills & Requirements

  • In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Strong communication skills
  • Transcription experience
  • Exceptional organization skill
  • Ability to interact with clients
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative position
