This program will focus on recent Labor/Employment legislative, regulatory, and case law developments. Included in the program’s discussion, will be the following:
- The recent Supreme Court decision in Vance v. Ball State addressing the definition of a Supervisor and the impact on employer liability
- The relationship between unlawful retaliation and employer liability as a result of the Supreme Court’s decision in University of Texas Southern Medical Center v. Nassar
- The recently issued New York State Department of Labor Regulations under N. Y. Labor Law Section 193 pertaining to permissible deductions from wages
