About the Instructors
John M. Bagyi, Esq., SPHR
, is an attorney and member (partner) at Bond, Schoeneck & King, where he counsels and represents diverse employers in a variety of labor and employment-related contexts. He is a frequent guest lecturer and speaker at universities and conferences. He also serves as General Counsel to the New York State Society of Human Resource Management. Most recently, he was named a 2014 "Lawyer of the Year" by The Best Lawyers in America.
Dan Didier, MSIA, CCSP, TSS, is the founder of NetSecureIA and Chief Security Strategist at GreyCastle Security. With nearly 16 years of security experience in a wide range of industries—including critical infrastructure, finance, healthcare, manufacturing and other prominent industries—Dan brings extensive expertise as a technical security engineer and business-focused risk manager.
Mike Lanotte, General Counsel/SVP of Association Services, joined the New York Credit Union Association as associate counsel in 1993 and was named general counsel in 1997. He also serves as SVP of Association Services and is responsible for the Association's governance; legal and regulatory affairs; and compliance, community development, member services, governmental affairs and education & training areas.
Henry Meier, Deputy General Counsel for the New York Credit Union Association, is actively involved in all legislative, regulatory and legal issues impacting New York credit unions. He frequently contributes to the Association's advocacy efforts and lends his legal expertise to the Association and its affiliate companies. He is also the voice behind the Association's popular New York's State of Mind blog.
Mike Carter, CUCE, VP of Compliance, joined the New York Credit Union Association in 2001 and was named vice president of compliance in 2014. Under his leadership, the compliance team provides member credit unions with regulatory information and guidance. Mike leads the Association's Frontline Compliance Certification Program and Compliance Updates and provides compliance training for CUNA, NCUA and other state associations/leagues.
