Preparing for DSRIP: Legal and Strategic Issues Facing Home Care Providers
Tracy Miller, Esq., Health Care Group, Bond, Schoeneck & King

While home care providers are not the lead organizations in DSRIP in their regions, they have a key role to play in Performing Provider Systems (PPSs) to assure coordination across the continuum of care. Just as important, DSRIP has significant financial, legal, and clinical implications for all providers in the health care delivery system in New York State.  Tracy Miller will provide an overview of DSRIP, focusing on the operational, regulatory, and strategic challenges and decisions facing home care providers as they seek to prepare for DSRIP participation.  Among other topics, the session will cover DSRIP objectives and key deadlines, allocation of DSRIP funds, governance and representation in Performing Provider Systems, DSRIP projects and implementation standards, legal and regulatory issues, quality mandates and reporting, and data sharing.
