Tracy Miller to Present on DSRIP at NYSBA Health Law Section Annual Meeting

Implementation of DSRIP (1.0 credits in Professional Practice)
The NYS Medicaid Director Jason Helgerson  will discuss how DSRIP will fundamentally restructure the health care delivery system in New York by reinvesting in the Medicaid program, with the primary goal of reducing avoidable hospital use by 25% over 5 years.

Tracy practices health care and not-for-profit corporate law, focusing on corporate, regulatory and compliance matters for health care providers, managed care plans and charitable organizations. She has significant experience as in-house and outside counsel advising governing bodies and executive management about corporate governance and organization, including fiduciary duties, corporate reorganization, shared services, conflicts of interest and policies and procedures for exempt organizations.

Drawing on her experience in strategic planning and government relations, Tracy assists clients to navigate the challenges in the current health care environment. Tracy has played a leadership role in relation to health care quality and policy in New York State and nationally. Her practice includes governing body oversight of quality, strategic issues posed by new care delivery models, pay-for-performance, and patient safety. She advises both lead applicants and participating providers about the range of issues they face as they prepare for the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment Program.

Tracy also concentrates her practice in corporate compliance advising clients about compliance policies, implementation, and individual matters. She has carried out major investigations and compliance effectiveness reviews for health plans, hospitals and nursing homes.
