Presented by John Gaal, Esq.

This Study reviews a wide array of information which offers useful insight into organized labor’s activity within Region 3 for the 2010-2012 period. The Study includes an examination of union petition and election activity in both the certification (RC) and decertification (RD) contexts. This activity is reviewed on both a macro level, looking overall at organized labor’s success rate, as well as on a micro level, identifying the most active unions at both the International and Local levels, as well as exploring election results based on unit size, industry and geographic area.

Our Study similarly examines unfair labor practice charges (including charges brought by and against labor organizations), reviewing the types of charges filed, complaints issued, and the most active unions. We will conclude the webinar with our observations and conclusions.

(Region 3 covers all of New York except for the New York City metropolitan area and neighboring counties which are covered by NLRB Regions 2 (Manhattan) and 29 (Brooklyn).)
