Chris is a litigation attorney with more than thirteen years of experience in all aspects of litigation, with a particular emphasis on motions and appeals.
His practice areas include premises, contract, property damage, construction accident, commercial, civil rights and class action liability.
Chris has represented clients in the grocery, construction, real estate development and financial industries before both State and Federal Courts in New York, as well as before numerous governmental agencies and administrative tribunals. He was trained in trial technique at the New York State Bar Association’s Trial Academy.
In addition to the substantial breadth and depth of his litigation experience, Chris is proud of his long history of counseling clients on a wide spectrum of risk management, insurance coverage and compliance related matters including those involving the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, the Medicare Secondary Payer Act, New York State Election Law, the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act, the Commodities Exchange Act, the American’s With Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Family Medical Leave Act, to name just a few.
Chris also has considerable experience representing individual and corporate clients in a variety of commercial and real estate transactions.
As a long time member of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Volunteer Lawyers, Chris volunteers countless hours assisting those fighting drug and alcohol addiction. In 2009, following a fire at his own home, Chris joined the East Rockaway Volunteer Fire Department where he serves as an elected member of the Department’s Fire Council, as well as an appointed member of the Department’s By-Law and Recruitment/Retention Committees. Chris has also served as counsel to, and a By-Law Committee representative of, Sekon Association, Inc, a not-for-profit corporation representing homeowners on New York’s Upper Saranac Lake.
