Cliff co-founded the firm’s cybersecurity and data privacy practice. He has counseled clients and delivered presentations regarding the latest developments and cases concerning corporate information and data management, including compliance with legal obligations, litigation holds, the duty to preserve evidence, spoliation and sanctions.
Cliff has represented commercial clients combatting the increasing threat of cyber-fraud, including successfully recovering thousands of dollars of products for a client in the tech sector. His experience in this area also includes coordinating client efforts with federal law enforcement.
As a trial attorney, Cliff generally handles all manners of civil litigation in federal and state courts and in arbitration and mediation. He has represented clients in a broad variety of disputed matters, ranging from complex multidistrict litigation, fraudulent transfer actions, and putative class actions. Cliff has significant experience in both prosecuting and defending actions alleging misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition and breach of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. He has handled litigation concerning intellectual property, contested bankruptcy matters, and petitions to compel and to stay arbitration. Clifford’s practice also includes substantial experience before the appellate courts in both state and federal courts in New York.
