Dawn represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation, as well as real estate litigation and title litigation with emphasis on achieving early and efficient results for clients. Dawn practices in federal and state court and has a robust appellate practice. In addition, she has extensive experience representing financial institutions, corporations, executives, shareholders and brokers before the Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), federal and state banking regulators, and state attorneys general.

Dawn’s clients consist of financial institutions, public and private companies, partnerships, property owners, condominiums, co-ops, and individuals.

Prior to joining Bond, Dawn was a litigator with several New York City law firms, including Ganfer Shore Leeds & Zauderer, Alston & Bird, Sullivan & Cromwell and Wilmer Hale.

  • Represented investment advisor in a long-running FINRA arbitration against broker dealer/custodian
  • Defended private lender in state court action seeking to set aside a significant mortgage that was obtained via a sophisticated fraudulent conspiracy
  • Defended an individual accused of being part of a RICO enterprise
  • Represented numerous lenders in matters involving questions regarding priority of mortgages
  • Represented investment banking syndicate in In re Refco multi-district securities litigation
  • Defended prime broker in civil litigation and regulatory investigations arising out of bankruptcy of a hedge fund customer
  • Defended broker-dealer in connection with Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement action concerning proprietary trading
  • Represented director and shareholder of a casino in dispute with board regarding forfeiture of his shares under Nevada law
  • Defended commercial bank in Department of Justice investigation and prosecution regarding abandoned property
  • Conducted internal investigation on behalf of investment bank concerning theft of funds by employee
  • Represented issuers in connection with class actions arising out of mergers and acquisitions activity
