Jonathan is an intellectual property and registered patent attorney, with an emphasis on patent prosecution, patent litigation, and trademark portfolio management. Jonathan has represented clients of all sizes, from small privately-owned companies to multinational corporations, seeking to protect their inventions and their brands.

As a registered patent attorney, Jonathan has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications, with a particular focus on electrical and software technologies. He guides clients from idea to application, working closely with them to navigate the application process before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and internationally. He also advises clients on managing risk while bringing products to market, including preparing novelty, freedom-to-operate, and validity opinions.

 

As a litigator, Jonathan provides technical analysis and guidance through all phases of litigation from initial pleadings to claim construction and settlement.

Jonathan also has extensive experience advising clients seeking to protect their brand, including managing global trademark portfolios, preparing, filing and prosecuting domestic and international trademark applications, representing clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, negotiating consent agreements, and overseeing international UDRP disputes.
