Jonathan is an intellectual property lawyer and registered patent attorney focusing on patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in the fields of electronics and software, including patents covering radar systems, lighting devices, oral care devices, thermal security printers, locomotive braking software systems, oil and gas well monitoring systems, and LIDAR processing software.

Jonathan has also prepared novelty opinions and right-to-use opinions for clients seeking to patent or manufacture new products, as well as cease and desist letters for clients seeking to protect existing patents, copyrights, and trademarks. In addition, he has assisted in the defense of clients involved in patent and copyright infringement actions.

Jonathan holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. In addition to working as an intellectual property law clerk while attending law school, Jonathan was the research assistant for Profs. Laura G. Lape and Evan J. Criddle conducting research in copyright and international law, and served as an Editor of the Syracuse Law Review. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a software engineer with a U.S. Air Force defense contractor.
