Lacey is a patent attorney in the firm's Intellectual Property practice group, where she assists domestic and international clients with a wide range of intellectual property needs from patent prosecution, trademark and copyright applications, to client counseling and litigation.
Lacey is experienced in patent prosecution and client counseling in a variety of science and technology fields including:
- medical technologies;
- consumer products;
- computer software and hardware; and
- energy technologies.
She is also interested in the intersection of emerging markets, such as the cannabis industry, and issues of patent and trademark protection.
Lacey’s litigation experience includes patent, trademark, and data privacy related matters in federal district courts.
Prior to joining Bond, Lacey served in the Army National Guard for nine years. While in law school, she worked as a Senior Research Associate at the New York State Science & Technology Law Center where she provided individuals and startups with commercialization studies and intellectual property landscapes, identified potential freedom to operate issues, and highlighted opportunities for intellectual property protection. While in law school she also externed with Federal Magistrate Judge David E. Peebles in the Northern District of New York on matters including patent infringement.
