Matt concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning and taxation, probate, and trust and estate administration.

Matt provides a wide array of trust and estate services to clients including preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney and advance directives for health care and other estate planning documents; counseling clients on tax matters; representing individual and corporate fiduciaries and beneficiaries of trusts and estates in all aspects of administration; structuring and implementing lifetime and testamentary transfers of wealth as well as structuring and implementing gifts to charitable trusts, private foundations and other charitable entities.

Matt is the 2018 recipient of Buffalo Law School’s Judge William J. Regan Award – a commencement award given to the member of the graduating class who “demonstrated the greatest proficiency in estates and surrogate’s law, and who is motivated by a strong concern for public service and public welfare.”

Prior to joining Bond, Matt worked as an associate at a Rochester firm where he represented insurers, third party administrators, and self-insured employers in administrative proceedings. 

While in law school, Matt interned with Judge Daniel J. Doyle of the Monroe County Supreme Court. He also worked as a law clerk for a general practice, provided research assistance for a clinical legal education program, and served as an associate for the Buffalo Environmental Law Journal.
