Nihla is experienced in a wide range of labor and employment matters related to arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, workplace investigations and audits, employment litigation and administrative proceedings before administrative agencies such as the New York State Department of Labor, New York State Division of Human Rights and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She also counsels employers in areas of labor and employment including harassment and discrimination prevention, policy development, employee handbook reviews, equal employment opportunity and reasonable accommodation compliance, management training, unemployment insurance matters, wage and hour compliance and workplace investigations.

Prior to joining the firm, Nihla spent more than 10 years overseeing the human resources and fiscal functions of a primarily federally funded multi-location nonprofit organization and has also worked in human resources management at a large financial institution. This provides her with a unique perspective in providing counseling to her clients as they navigate finding practical solutions to labor and employment matters.
