Tom is a nationally recognized trial attorney and a former homicide prosecutor with the Kings County (New York) District Attorney’s office. He was also Coordinator of the New York City Arson Strike Force.

Tom is relied upon by his clients for his insight derived from his extensive actual trial experience in both the federal and state courts. He is trusted for his pragmatic approach to litigation, and clients have the confidence of knowing they will be zealously represented at trial should the matter need to be presented to a jury.

Since leaving government service, Tom has concentrated his practice on a broad spectrum of litigation including commercial litigation, insurance law and insurance coverage, construction, director’s and officer’s liability, general liability, workers compensation and the defense of product manufacturers. Throughout his career, Tom has tried dozens of criminal and civil cases to successful verdicts before full juries.

Tom also has extensive experience in the handling of all aspects of the civil litigation process. This includes substantive motions, trials and appeals in both state and federal courts and various administrative tribunals in New York and New Jersey and in jurisdictions as varied as California, Michigan and Texas. 

Prior to joining Bond, Tom was a Partner, Head of the Litigation Department and Counsel to the firm at Putney, Twombly, Hall & Hirson LLP.
