Bond's 8th Annual Higher Education Briefing Series: FERPA Update

February 8, 2009

Briefing Series Overview
For more than 100 years, Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC has been providing a broad array of legal services to colleges and universities across the United States. In 2008 alone, Bond provided services to nearly 100 colleges and universities in roles ranging from serving as outside general counsel to representation as "specialty counsel" on particular matters.

We are pleased to announce our 8th Annual Briefing Series focusing specifically on issues of interest to colleges and universities. These programs are designed to provide current, practical and topical information for senior administrators, general counsel, HR personnel, risk managers and other decision-makers.

This year, in recognition of both the geographic diversity of our client base and the challenging economic times, we have altered our format. All programs will be offered in a Webinar format that will allow participants to attend from the convenience of their own offices or in group settings on their own campuses. We look forward to your participation.

Program
This program will examine current issues under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, including an overview of the United States Department of Education's most recent amendments to the FERPA regulations, key interpretative guidance from the Family Policy Compliance Office, and common challenges faced by colleges and universities.
