As employee-protective laws increase, so do the nonobvious pitfalls for human resources professionals. In this interactive workshop, we will have an in-depth discussion of best practices to manage the arc of the employment experience, from hiring to performance management to termination.
The focus of our discussion will be on topics less obvious, but no less legally consequential, such as the role of social media in hiring, evaluating applicants with criminal records, responding to “bad hire” situations, and understanding the myriad and nuanced ways that a termination may present risk of discrimination or retaliation liability.
