Four Attorneys Elected Members (Partners) Of Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC

Syracuse, NY: Bond, Schoeneck & King is pleased to announce the election of four Members (Partners) to the Firm: Darcie A. Falsioni (Buffalo); Stuart F. Klein (Albany); Roderick C. McDonald (Syracuse); and Patrick V. Melfi (Syracuse).

Ms. Falsioni is a member of Employee Benefits Practice Group and resides in the Firm's Buffalo Office. Ms. Falsioni practices in all areas of Employee Benefits Law, including the design, implementation, operation and termination of qualified and non-qualified pension and welfare benefits plans, split-dollar life insurance arrangements, and the administration of COBRA and HIPAA. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School (J.D., 1998) and Canisius College (B.A, magna cum laude, 1995).

Mr. Klein is a trial attorney in the Firm's Litigation Department, and resides in BS&K's Albany Office. He is involved in all phases of federal and state court trial and appellate practice, and routinely counsels clients pro-actively to avoid litigation exposure. Mr. Klein's practice includes commercial litigation, disability insurance litigation, insurance defense, products liability, health and medical litigation, employment litigation, insurance coverage disputes and toxic tort litigation. Additionally, he has experience in representing clients in the areas of condemnation and real property taxation. Prior to joining BS&K, Mr. Klein was associated with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in New York City where he represented a variety of Fortune 200 companies along with emerging, technology-based companies. He is a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 1999) and the State University of New York at Geneseo (B.A., 1996).

Mr. McDonald resides in the Firm's Syracuse Office and is a member of BS&K's Business and Transactions Department. He advises clients on a variety of corporate and commercial law matters, including corporate finance and mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. Prior to joining the Firm, he was Vice President and General Counsel of Special Metals Corporation. Mr. McDonald is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Law (J.D., with honors, 1990) and Colgate University (B.A., cum laude, 1987).

Mr. Melfi practices Labor and Employment Law in the Firm's Syracuse Office. Mr. Melfi's practice includes counseling and representing employers in a wide variety of labor and employment law matters, including collective bargaining, union organizing, strikes and picketing, labor arbitration, State and Federal employment discrimination litigation, layoffs, and employee discipline. He has also spoken to various management and personnel groups on a variety of topics, including workplace violence, reductions in force, agricultural labor laws, and worker's compensation reform. Prior to joining BSK, Mr. Melfi represented management exclusively in labor and employment matters in Chicago, Illinois. He is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago (J.D., 1994; M.S.I.R., 1995) and Nazareth College of Rochester (B.A., 1990).
