Real Estate Attorneys Kevin V. Recchia and David L. Pieterse Join Bond's Rochester Office

(Rochester, NY) Bond, Schoeneck & King is pleased to announce that real estate partners Kevin V. Recchia and David L. Pieterse have joined the Firm's Rochester office. The addition of Mr. Recchia and Mr. Pieterse, with Nixon Peabody since 1986 and 1998 respectively, brings Bond's Rochester presence to 14 lawyers in practice areas that include real estate, litigation, construction, business restructuring, creditors' rights, bankruptcy, commercial lending, corporate and transactional, and labor and employment. Bond opened its Rochester office in July 2008, and the office has more than doubled in size in the past 18 months.

Recchia, 48, has more than 20 years experience practicing commercial real estate law and is recognized in the 2009 Upstate edition of New York Super Lawyers1. He represents tenants and landlords in leasing transactions throughout the country and handles complex purchase and sale projects. Recchia has also represented lenders and borrowers in a variety of commercial real estate loans, as well as parties involved in condemnation, zoning and real estate related litigation matters.
Pieterse, 43, concentrates his practice on construction and real estate law. He represents Fortune 500 corporations, universities and developers throughout the country in the negotiation of complex design, construction and development agreements. Pieterse is co-chair of the New York State Bar Association's Construction Law Committee and regularly lectures on construction-related topics. He has represented clients in all phases of construction claims, including disputes regarding substantial claims for delay, acceleration, inefficiencies and default terminations. Pieterse also has extensive experience in real estate transactional matters.
