Title IX Roundtable Discussion

June 24, 2015

As a result of the major Title IX and VAWA developments in Spring 2014, most institutions implemented new Title IX policies and procedures either in advance of or during the past academic year. From our own discussions with the many colleges and universities we represent, it is clear that institutions continue to grapple with issues as they try to determine what are “best practices,” how those practices fit their campus cultures, and how to fine tune their policies and procedures in light of this past year’s experiences.

To assist all institutions in these efforts, we thought it would be useful if Title IX Coordinators and other Student Affairs personnel (or anyone dealing with these issues) were able to exchange ideas, concerns and experiences with their peers from across the State.

The purpose of this event is to allow the professionals who have to deal with these issues daily speak candidly with their peers to share information, and for all of us to discuss common concerns collaboratively. While the program will include some prepared comments by Bond lawyers and United Educators, the heart of the program will focus on roundtable discussions of your concerns, questions, comments and experiences.
