As part of Bond’s collegiate sports practice group, Connor assists NCAA member institutions and student-athletes in a variety of NCAA compliance related matters. Connor’s current practice focuses on NCAA infraction cases and athletics compliance assessments. His relevant intercollegiate athletics experience, along with his time as a Division-III student-athlete, make him an effective advocate for clients involved in NCAA compliance and infraction matters.
Prior to joining Bond, Connor served as an assistant football coach at the University of Rochester where he held multiple different roles which helped him develop a well-rounded understanding of the internal operations that drive successful athletic departments. His experiences include recruiting, player development, academic support, operations and compliance—giving him a deep and practical foundation in the day-to-day workings of college athletics. In each role, Connor collaborated closely with athletic department leadership on matters including NCAA compliance, student-athlete welfare, team travel logistics, budget planning and alumni engagement. Building on this experience, Connor earned his law degree with a primary focus on the evolving legal landscape of collegiate athletics. His academic work centered on issues such as name, image, and likeness (NIL), student-athlete rights, governance and Title IX compliance—adding a strong legal and policy lens to his practical background.
