Justin works directly with clients facing bankruptcy, corporate reorganization and out-of-court workouts. He has significant experience with respect to the operation, reorganization and liquidation of a debtor’s business and assets, the resolution of secured and other claims asserted against the estate, and the recovery of assets and prosecution of causes of action for the benefit of creditors.

He has represented chapter 7 and chapter 11 trustees, creditor committee, debtors in possession, trade creditors, administrative agents, landlords and judgment creditors in connection with all aspects concerning the administration of bankruptcy cases. In addition, his responsibilities include, reviewing, negotiating, and drafting settlement agreements, asset purchase agreements and related transactional documents, first day motions, motions for relief from the automatic stay and debtor in possession financing documents.

Justin regularly appears before the bankruptcy court on various matters, including status conferences, sale confirmation, settlement approval, contested matters, adversary proceedings involving preferential and fraudulent transfers, plan confirmation and claim resolution. He conducts out-of-court workouts through creative and pragmatic solutions resulting in a less costly and more flexible alternative to full formal insolvency proceedings.

Prior to joining Bond, Justin was a partner with a Long Island firm where he handled bankruptcy and restructuring work and before that as a business attorney in New York City.
