Sharon is an experienced lawyer who understands the many challenges facing employers today. With her clients’ business objectives in mind, she brings a practical approach to problem solving. She works with employers to identify workplace issues and provides proactive advice to prevent problems from developing.

Sharon represents and counsels businesses, municipalities and not-for-profit employers on a wide range of employment, legal compliance and workplace issues, including:

  • employment discrimination and harassment
  • wrongful discharge
  • reductions in force
  • wage and hour issues
  • personnel policies
  • employee handbooks
  • employee leave issues and reasonable accommodation

Sharon represents employers in federal and state courts in New York and in administrative proceedings before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights and the New York State and United States Departments of Labor.

Sharon is also experienced in investigating claims of workplace harassment and discrimination. In addition, she conducts training on avoiding sexual harassment and other types of workplace harassment claims, wage and hour compliance issues, human resource policies and best practices, and other workplace issues.
