New Legislation Mandates Pay Equity Reporting for NYC Employers

As a follow-up to this week’s Business in 2025 webinar, Bond labor and employment attorney Samuel P. Wiles reviewed two new bills passed last month by the New York City Council that address pay equity obligations for employers. The first requires businesses with more than 200 employees to report pay demographic data annually. The second mandates that the city publish an annual pay equity study.
