Spring 2026 Special Education Update Program

At this program, we will discuss a number of important issues and breaking developments in special education, including:

  • Eligibility criteria for students to take the New York State Alternate Assessment
  • Navigating the continuum of placements and services available for students with disabilities 
  • Everything you need to know about pattern determinations
  • Determining the appropriate scope of a school district’s evaluation and properly responding to a parental request for an independent educational evaluation
