Financial Analyst Manager

Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC, a law firm of more than 300 attorneys in over 30 practice and industry groups, is accepting applications for a full-time Financial Analyst Manager to support our accounting department in our Syracuse, NY office location. Working extensively with the Firm’s financial systems, this position is responsible for performing in-depth data analysis, defining informational needs, and delivering information via various Business Intelligence defined methods.
Position Responsibilities:
- Reconcile budgetary reports, income statements, cash flow, balance sheets, dashboards, etc.
- Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking, and perform process analysis including identifying trends and recommending measurable actions directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
- Lead the multi-step Budgeting Process for the entire firm while collaborating with the CFO, department heads, and Office Managing Members.
- Perform complex data analysis on Bond’s main financial system (Aderant), the data warehouse (Intellistat), SQL, and miscellaneous other business systems as needed.
- Work with the business units and management to analyze business processes, identify gaps, and define requirements for technical solutions.
- Develop reports for management with comprehensive financial analysis; create SQL-statement-based queries or tools to facilitate data analysis.
- Work with end users and developers to gather business requirements and to communicate business and technical requirements for projects or operational needs.
- Work with end users to address ad-hoc data analysis requests; determine the proper course of action; and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to properly manage one's own workload.
- Supervise the Firm’s financial analysts.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as needed
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Accounting, or Finance required
- MBA and/or CPA preferred
- 5 years experience in a related business or business intelligence field
- Experience in professional service organization preferred
- Excellent overall computer skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint at an intermediate level)
- Strong SQL Skills, including Performance tuning queries
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts along with experience with report writing and database query tools
- Team player and the ability to be adaptable in a professional office setting

This position's salary range is between $95,000 to $105,000, negotiable based on years’ experience.
