Administrative Assistant

Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, a law firm of 300 attorneys in more than 30 practice and industry groups, is accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant to support the School Law Practice Group in our Rochester, NY office. The ideal candidate will have a background in legal administrative work, great organizational skills, be detailed oriented, have a high level of professionalism, strong communication skills and will be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments from multiple attorneys.
Position Responsibilities
- Compose, type, distribute and file communications, records, and legal documents and/or instructions utilizing the firm’s resources in the most efficient manner
- Interact with clients and attorneys via phone, email and in-person
- Timely file all correspondence and other documents as required to maintain up-to-date records of client matters
- Draft, revise and edit documents
- Open and close files
- Provide general support to various labor and employment attorneys
- Filing, scanning and other administrative tasks as assigned
- Transcribe letters and documents through digital transcription
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments in an accurate and timely manner
- Willingness to learn and adapt to firm needs
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Strong typing and transcription experience
- Minimum of 2 years administrative assistant experience; preferably in School Law
- Law firm experience preferred, but not required

This position's salary range is between $50,000 to $60,000, negotiable based on years’ experience.
