Jéla works with clients on a wide array of intellectual property issues, including trademark registration and protection, copyright management and enforcing IP rights through cease-and-desist letters, takedown notices, and other legal actions.

Prior to joining Bond, Jéla was a student attorney for the University at Buffalo Family Violence & Women’s Rights Clinic where she handled cases involving temporary restraining orders, custody, child support, visitation and divorce. She also worked as a student attorney for the University at Buffalo Puerto Rico Recovery Assistance Legal Clinic where she participated in a service-learning trip to Puerto Rico to address local issues culminating in a research project on displacement and gentrification. Additionally, Jéla gained experience as a summer law clerk at a Buffalo law firm, where she researched and drafted legal memoranda on insurance coverage defense matters.
