Josiah’s practice involves facilitating business formation, governance, operation, and reorganization while drafting all corresponding contracts, leases, agreements, bylaws, articles, or other necessary documents, as well as providing general corporate counseling.
Josiah also advises public agencies on compliance with various laws and regulations, such as the Florida Sunshine Law, Public Records Law, Code of Ethics, and government procurement requirements. Further, Josiah regularly works with clients to prepare and execute various estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives. In addition, Josiah has experience assisting clients in the purchase and sale of residential real estate.
Prior to joining Bond, Josiah was a judicial intern for The Hon. Judge Robert E. Long, Jr., First District Court of Appeal, conducting legal research, drafting opinions, and distilling lower court records to assist the panel of judges in identifying factual issues, analyzing applicable law, and making appellate rulings. Josiah also has experience in state and municipal government, previously serving as a legislative aide for the Connecticut General Assembly and holding public office as an elected member of his hometown school board.
