Vincenzo is a seasoned attorney with nearly two decades of experience exclusively advising and representing leading academic and research institutions. His practice spans governance, compliance, employment law, biomedical research, research integrity and complex contract negotiations.
Prior to joining Bond, Vincenzo served as associate counsel at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he provided strategic legal support across the institution. He staffed and advised the Board of Trustees’ Investment and Compliance Committees, managed legal matters for the College’s retirement plans, negotiated a wide range of biomedical research agreements with pharmaceutical companies, hospital systems and academic collaborators and led the College in developing its first export controls program. Vincenzo’s prior work in this role also included intellectual property protection, human subject and animal research compliance and oversight of the College’s legal response to FOIA requests.

As former assistant general counsel at Teachers College at Columbia University, Vincenzo led legal efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, developed policies on reasonable accommodations and sexual harassment prevention and managed litigation involving discrimination and personal injury. He also oversaw the University’s intellectual property portfolio and advised on research misconduct and compliance matters.
During a decade at Fordham University, Vincenzo rose to the role of associate general counsel, where he managed litigation, revised governance documents, negotiated vendor and international agreements and chaired university-wide committees on records retention and campus safety. His work included defending the university in state and federal court and before regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Office for Civil Rights.
Prior to entering the field of higher education law, Vincenzo served as an assistant district attorney with the Bronx County District Attorney’s for over four years, where he prosecuted numerous misdemeanor and felony cases.
