Albany Partner Richard L. Smith Presents to CenterState CEO on Government Relations

On Friday, April 15, 2011, Bond, Schoeneck & King Partner Richard L. Smith presented to the CenterState Corporation for Economic Opportunity (CEO) group on the topic of Lobbying, Political Contributions and Gifts to Legislation. The presentation was held at CenterState CEO's headquarters in Syracuse.

Mr. Smith is resident in the Firm's Albany Office and is Co-Chair of the Firm's Administrative/Legislative/Regulatory Practice Group. His practice covers all New York State Administrative and Regulatory Agencies, the New York State Legislature and the Governor's Office. Mr. Smith practices Corporate Law, Tax Law and Administrative Law before all state agencies, including the New York State Tax Commission and the Public Service Commission. He was involved in the passage of legislation authorizing the creation of limited liability companies in New York, authored the 'Safety in Skiing Code', helped pass legislation immunizing HR-10 and IRA retirement plans from the claims of third party judgment creditors, and helped strengthen the franchise protections for franchised automobile dealers.
