According to N.Y. Labor Law § 201-g and effective October 9, 2018, every employer must implement an interactive sexual harassment training program and provide it to employees on an annual basis and track the participation for 3 years. These points and more will be discussed - along with options for training and support as you acclimate to this new responsibility.
Effective, October 9th, the New York State law governing sexual harassment will change for all employers in New York. In this program, we will discuss the recent amendments to New York State law concerning sexual harassment. We will cover what the new law will require employers to do and when those legal obligations will need to be met. The program will briefly address new legal requirements governing sexual harassment policies and training. We will explore the various options to meeting these new requirements and best practices.
