2008 Firm Leadership Changes

Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, is pleased to announce leadership changes within the Firm. Gregory J. Champion has been named Managing Attorney and John M. Bagyi has been named Deputy Managing Attorney of the Firm's Albany Office. Patrick J. Pedro has been named Deputy Chair of the Firm's Business Department and Joseph A. Greenman has been named Chair of the Firm's Estate and Financial Planning Department. John G. McGowan has been named Chair of the Firm's Litigation Department and Jonathan B. Fellows has been named Deputy Chair.

Mr. Champion engages in a broad corporate and business law practice advising publicly-traded and privately-held entities, as well as higher education institutions and other not-for-profit entities, on a variety of matters, including corporate governance, contract negotiations, corporate structure, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate financings, licensing arrangements, and various transactional matters.

Mr. Bagyi counsels and represents employers of all types and sizes in a variety of labor and employment-related contexts and is the youngest attorney in New York State listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for labor and employment law. He is also listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in Emerging Leaders.

Mr. Pedro is a corporate attorney and his practice involves counseling clients regarding transactional matters and business operations, including employment issues, joint ventures, acquisitions, mergers and sales. He represents privately owned businesses, physicians and group practices, healthcare and higher education institutions.

Mr. Greenman counsels individual clients and business owners in estate and financial planning, estate administration, asset preservation and Elder Law matters. He has lectured extensively on probate and administration of estates, elder law and estate planning. Mr. Greenman is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® and Super Lawyers®.

Mr. McGowan's practice involves representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of matters including personal injury, commercial disputes, partnership dissolution, intellectual property claims, including trade dress, trademark, and service mark claims, as well as a variety of complex insurance coverage matters.

Mr. Fellows' practice addresses litigation matters involving product liability, toxic tort and environmental matters, criminal defense, media law, civil rights, commercial disputes, construction disputes and insurance matters in both state and federal courts.
