Kevin Bernstein Elected to Board of United Way of Central New York

(Syracuse, NY): Kevin M. Bernstein, of Bond, Schoeneck & King, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of United Way of Central New York (UWCNY) for a three-year term. Bernstein is chair of the firm's management committee and a member of its environmental and energy practice.

UWCNY is a non-profit organization serving Onondaga County that helps donors make effective charitable investments of money, volunteer time, and in-kind gifts to make lasting improvements in individual lives and the local community.

“As long as United Way has been serving the area there has always been a loyal commitment from Bond” said Bernstein of his election, adding, “I am honored to contribute in this most meaningful of ways to the organization’s mission of improving the lives of children and families in the greater Syracuse community through continuing programs and new initiatives.”

Bernstein has served on the boards of numerous local organizations, including the Baldwinsville Community Scholarship Foundation, the CenterState Center for Economic Opportunity and the Northwest Family YMCA. He also served on UWCNY’s Resource Development Committee before being elected to its board.
