New York Lawmakers Approve Change in Alcohol Sales Rule

As a follow-up to this week’s Business in 2025 webinar, Bond attorney Jennifer L. Tsyn recorded a brief overview about new legislation in New York State that would allow restaurants and bars to buy limited amounts of alcohol directly from retail liquor stores, as opposed to licensed wholesalers. Both the state Senate and Assembly have passed the bill (S409A), but Gov. Kathy Hochul has yet to sign it into law.
