Emily is a management-side labor and employment law attorney who represents and counsels New York employers in both the public and private sectors.  She advises clients in a wide variety of labor and employment law matters, including, but not limited to:

  • discrimination and workplace harassment
  • workplace investigations
  • workplace accommodations
  • wage and hour issues
  • employee handbooks and personnel policies 
  • leave issues
  • disciplinary matters
  • safety and health issues 
  • collective bargaining disputes, including unfair labor practices and grievance arbitrations.

She regularly conducts workplace investigations, negotiates collective bargaining agreements and represents employers in disciplinary hearings, discrimination claims, employment litigation and unfair labor practice proceedings before Federal and State agencies and courts.

Emily often deals with matters pertaining to Title VII, the New York State Human Rights Law, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the New York Labor Law, the New York State Public Employees Fair Employment Act (the Taylor Law),  New York State General Municipal Law Sections 207-a and 207-c, New York State Civil Service Law Sections 71, 72, 73 and 75, and the New York State Education Law.
