John's practice includes a broad range of commercial real estate areas. He devotes a portion of his time to financing transactions as counsel to developers and lenders.

John also practices in the area of zoning and land use controls. He has spent many years advising developers and landowners concerning site plan approvals, wet land mitigation and restrictive covenants. John has negotiated wet land mitigation and preservation easements on behalf of landowners and developers. He has also drafted and negotiated conservation easements and natural resource leases. Most recently John has been involved in low and no impact environmentally friendly gas and oil well leasing in the southern tier and western New York.
