Bond Elects Four New Members

(Syracuse, N.Y.): Bond, Schoeneck & King (Bond) is pleased to announce that effective Jan. 1, 2026, four attorneys have been elected members (partners) of the Firm.

The new members are: Roger A. Bearden (Health Care – Albany), Jessica M. Blanchette (Business and Transactions – Albany), Stephanie H. Fedorka (Labor and Employment – Rochester) and Marc J. Krawiec (Business and Transactions – Buffalo).
Bond Member Bios:
Roger A. Bearden (Albany) is a governmental, regulatory affairs and health and human services attorney with more than 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Before joining Bond, he held senior leadership roles in New York State government, including serving as special counsel to the Governor and as Executive Deputy Commissioner and General Counsel for the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities. His practice includes administrative and regulatory advocacy, as well as litigation challenging agency actions that exceed statutory authority. In the health and human services arena, Bearden advises providers across developmental disability, mental health, substance abuse, home care and fiscal intermediary services, with deep experience in Medicaid and home and community‑based waiver programs. He regularly counsels clients on quality assurance, OMIG compliance, HIPAA, licensing, investigations and operational challenges and also assists providers in navigating complex zoning and municipal government issues to achieve successful outcomes.
Jessica M. Blanchette (Albany) is a business attorney whose practice spans corporate and business law, property matters and tax issues. She advises individual, for‑profit and nonprofit clients on complex legal and regulatory requirements, helping them achieve their goals while managing risk. Her experience includes entity structuring, corporate governance, compliance, stock and asset transactions and drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts. Blanchette also guides clients through the purchase, sale and refinancing of commercial and residential real estate, including post‑closing matters and represents both entities and individuals in tax disputes before the IRS and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. Before joining Bond, Blanchette completed a two‑year clerkship with the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Department, an experience that strengthened her analytical and writing skills and informs her approach to practice.
Stephanie H. Fedorka (Rochester) is a management side labor and employment attorney who advises public and private sector clients on day to day workplace issues, including leave law compliance, wage and hour matters and the drafting and revision of employment policies and handbooks. She also handles traditional labor relations work, such as negotiating collective bargaining agreements, representing management in grievance arbitrations and unfair or improper practice proceedings and serving as labor counsel in business transactions. Fedorka has represented clients before numerous state and federal agencies, including the New York State Division of Human Rights, the EEOC, the New York State and U.S. Departments of Labor, the Public Employment Relations Board and the National Labor Relations Board. She also litigates employment related claims in state and federal courts, including discrimination, harassment and retaliation matters.
In addition to her legal practice, Fedorka has held leadership roles in Latinx/Hispanic legal organizations and earned both her J.D. and a Master’s in Public Administration concurrently at Syracuse University.
Marc J. Krawiec (Buffalo) advises business clients on a wide range of corporate and transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, financing, joint ventures, regulatory compliance, governance and commercial arrangements. Before joining Bond, he served as Senior Deputy Counsel at Independent Health Association and previously as Senior Counsel at First Niagara Bank, counseling leadership on strategic transactions, product development, regulatory relationships and subsidiary operations. Krawiec’s experience spans the banking, healthcare and nonprofit sectors, working with entities such as securities and insurance brokers, pharmacies, third‑party administrators, pharmacy benefit managers, captive affiliates and physician practices on issues involving licensing, investigations, data security, technology procurement, artificial intelligence initiatives, real estate and employment matters. Krawiec began his career in private practice in Buffalo as a corporate and transactional attorney.
