Bond, Schoeneck & King Announces Firm Committee Elections

(Syracuse, NY): Bond, Schoeneck & King (Bond) is pleased to announce that Richard D. Hole has been elected to a second 4-year term as Chairman of the Management Committee; John D. Allen has been elected to a second 2-year term on the Management Committee; Robert A. LaBerge has been elected to a 2-year term on the Management Committee, and Kevin M. Bernstein has been elected to the Firm's Compensation Committee.

Mr. Hole is a Member (partner) of the Firm, with over 35 years of experience counseling a wide range of corporate, institutional and professional clients in matters concerning Business and Corporate Law, Employee Benefits, and Health Law. In addition, he has occupied many leadership positions within the Firm, including Chair of its Finance Committee, Retirement Committee and Associate Committee, and member of its Executive Committee and Compensation Committee. He received a B.A. degree from Hamilton College and received his law degree from Syracuse University (cum laude). He serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Central New York, the Central New York Community Foundation, the Seward House Museum, and the Skaneateles Lake Association, and serves as General Counsel to the Manufacturers Association of Central New York, Inc. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for over 25 years, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in American Law. Mr. Allen is also a Member (partner) of the Firm, and is a member of the Litigation Department. His practice concentrates on the prosecution and defense of personal injury and wrongful death actions of all nature; business, contractual and commercial disputes including construction litigation, corporate and derivative claim litigation and partnership dissolution matters; employment litigation and insurance coverage questions. Mr. LaBerge is also a Member (partner) of the Firm and practices Labor and Employment Law. He represents management in all areas of Labor and Employment Law, including negotiation of collective bargaining contracts and individual employment and separation agreements, labor arbitration; employment discrimination and employee benefits litigation; design and administration of early retirement incentive plans, severance, and other employee benefit plans; development of affirmative action, family leave, and other employment policies and procedures, and general employer counseling. He received a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania (cum laude) and received his law degree from Notre Dame Law School (cum laude). Mr. Bernstein is also a Member (partner) of the Firm and practices Environmental and Energy Law. He concentrates his practice involving regulatory compliance, permitting and litigation (including enforcement defense) in matters relating to energy projects, solid waste landfills, petroleum contamination, wetlands, wastewater treatment, hazardous substance and petroleum bulk storage tanks, environmental impact review (SEQRA), toxic torts, defending criminal investigations, zoning and land use matters and the environmental aspects of business transactions, including environmental due diligence. Mr. Bernstein also represents clients in defense of claims asserted by federal and state governmental agencies for cleanup costs, penalties, and other enforcement matters brought under federal and state Superfund statutes, New York State Navigation Law, and the Clean Water Act. He earned a B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Brockport and received his law degree from the Vermont Law School (cum laude).
