What Employers Need to Know About Using AI
December 10, 2025
For this week’s Business in 2025 webinar, Bond labor and employment attorney Katherine S. McClung discussed the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) in all aspects of modern life, including the field of labor and employment law. The U.S. Senate even formed a bipartisan AI group to examine the technology’s impact on a host of areas – including elections and democracy, national security and the American workforce – and issue recommendations based on that review.
Kate’s overview included information about:
- legal pitfalls for employers who use AI to hire and fire workers
- harassment facilitated by AI (e.g., deepfake videos, etc.)
- AI as reasonable accommodation
- risks to confidential information
- best practices (e.g., AI use policies, etc.)
- AI laws in New York State and other states
