Fred is a registered patent attorney and concentrates his practice in intellectual property litigation including patent, trademark and copyright litigation.
His practice also includes patent and trademark prosecution and intellectual property licensing. His patent prosecution covers a wide range of subject matters including microbiology, chemistry, alternative and renewable energy, software systems, medical devices and manufacturing systems.
As a member of Bond’s cybersecurity and data privacy practice, Fred counsels clients on a variety of cybersecurity matters including cybersecurity risk management, incident detection and response planning, and the particulars of appropriate incident responses. With a focus on cross-border enforcement and extraterritorial jurisdiction, Fred has also assisted clients with interpreting the applicability of international regulations concerning cybersecurity and data protection, including the recently enacted General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union. Fred’s work for U.S.-based businesses and educational institutions includes compliance, creation and implementation of procedures and counseling regarding breaches and associated penalties.
